WOW CUP celebrates its 10th anniversary!

Ten years ago, we proudly pioneered and secured our first sales order of award-winning WOW CUP 360 spill-free drinking cups. And we walked a long way since then.

Today, millions of satisfied kids and families are using our WOW CUPs in over 50 countries around the world, for example in South North and South America, Korea, Japan, China, United Kingdom, France, Scandinavia, Australia, New Zealand and Germany to name a few.

Back in 2012, our founders launched WOW CUP^® and our company WOW GEAR^®. They disrupted the sippy cup market around the world with the first and best performing full 360 diaphragm drinking valve. Headquartered in beautiful Santa Barbara, California, our founders had one mission; to create and distribute products that truly make a difference in people’s lives around the world. During the early development of the WOW CUP our research showed there were thousands of sippy cups in the global market, but they all required several steps to drink, and they were all difficult to assemble and clean. We simply knew there was a better way. Our genesis all started with an innovative line of functional and fashionable 360 cups for kids that are spill-free, worry-free and hassle-free. We soon added our WOW CUP for babies with handles to support and earlier age transition to a regular open cup.

From the beginning, our 360 valve design focused on the importance of oral health to strengthen oral and tongue muscles and healthy oral development. They are dentist-recommended and also often used by Myofunctional Therapists, and feeding and speech therapists in their treatments.

After only a year on the market, our WOW CUP Baby won the baby products industry highly respected JPMA Innovation Award in the feeding category, which every year highlights the most exciting and innovative products on the market and helps parents with innovative ways to safeguard and care for their babies.

New Lines for Baby, Kids & Adult Water Bottles 

But we didn’t rest on our laurels. In 2018 we relaunched the WOW CUP creating three new lines that also had a number of unique innovative features – WOW CUP Mini, WOW CUP Baby and WOW CUP Kids as you know them today. All of our cups were redesigned with a functional and trendy design using state-of-the art food and baby safe TRITAN plastic for the cup bodies. It is a clear as glass, durable, odorless and taste-free material. We then designed all the cups with a unique gasketless thread sealing system that help reduce parts to clean and trap grime. We also made the baby and Kids cup parts interchangeable. And finally, we created the WOW CUP Mini with a baby familiar shape and smaller valve size making earlier age transitions easier.

As we didn’t want to just make a difference in the babies, kids, and parents' world, so we also created the industry first 360 adult water bottle for ease of spill free drinking. The WOW GEAR Water Bottles were designed in 18-18 stainless steel and TRITAN which simplify drinking whether you are hanging from a rock, working out at the gym, backpacking in a nature or working in the office. Water bottles are used by top world-class athletes, such as freestyle skier Ruka Ito who competes at the Olympics.

Beyond the Drinkware

We are not only about the drinkware anymore! Further to our innovation, in 2020, we launched our new, innovative and award-winning kitchen/BBQ mitt line. GRIPmitt with its more than 10 features is the only cooking mitt you will ever need in the kitchen and at the grill station. This patented mitt provides for dexterous, safe, and easy handling of hot, cold, and raw foods. GRIPmitt was also a finalist in the 2020 International Housewares Show’s Global Innovation Award (GIA Award) in the cutlery Hand Tool category.
